A Memory Box: Printing Our Favorite Images from 2014

We’re now on our fourth year of a tradition that I hope will last for years to come. Every Christmas, I take time to pick out my favorite images from the year and print them. I put them in a memory box on a bookshelf in our family room so that they’re easily accessible—not just hanging out in a box at the back of the closet.

I may have gotten a little carried away this year. After taking a photo of Zelda every single day for The Daily Z (some were admittedly better than others as I mixed iPhone photos in with higher quality photos), I labeled and printed out a photo from every single day, plus a few extras that I loved (yes, I’m totally insane, I know). The box is quite a bit bigger than years past (2012-2013, 2010-2011), but it works perfectly as a keepsake box for a few of the special things that we still have from Zelda’s birth, like the little knitted hat she was given at the hospital, and her hospital bracelet.

  1. What an awesome idea! I truly need to start doing something like this, and this year may be the best year considering we have another little one on the way. Thank you for such a great idea.
