We’re putting the final touches on our nursery in preparation for the arrival of our daughter at the end of November. It was a fun transformation (view a before photo—the room was a mess when we moved in). We got creative with a combination of old and new items. The big white art hanging in the first photo was originally a headboard that I made out of Inhabit Wall Flats. The dresser was an old hand-me-down from my parents that I painted white and replaced the knobs on last summer. The side table and Ikea bookshelf/desk combo were also pieces that we already had and repurposed for the nursery. Our only major purchases were the Joya Rocker, knitted pouf, Inca Flush Mount Ceiling Light and Stokke Sleepi Convertable Crib (we like that it can grow with her, and because the crib is oval, I had a chance to get crafty with my sewing machine to make custom sheets).
Now we just enjoy our hard work and wait.
