Most people think about senior photos as a rite of passage during high school, but Michigan State senior photos have become more and more popular over the years as a way to celebrate and commemorate four (or more) years transitioning into adulthood on campus.
When to Schedule Michigan State Senior Photos
If you’ve been thinking about planning your own college senior photos, the best time to schedule your photos will be the last two weeks of April and into early May. The colors on campus are incredible during that time, and it’s a time of celebration on campus.
We’ll schedule the photos in the evening based on the best light of the day.
I recommend scheduling your session in late winter or early Spring to guarantee a spot.
When to Wear to Your College Senior Photos
I have a styling quiz that will help you figure out exactly what to wear, but most women choose to wear a white dress to wear under the traditional cap and gown. We usually take a mix of photos – some with the cap and gown, and some with the dress only.
Who to Bring to Your MSU Senior Photos
I always have seniors bring at least one friend along to help with the cap and gown and to stand off camera and take part in a few little verbal prompts to help you relax and laugh naturally. And have your friend come photo ready to jump into a few photos during the session.
How Many People can Participate in One College Senior Photo Session?
- Mini sessions (30 minutes) can be shared with two seniors (or one senior with a few friend photos).
- Full sessions (60 minutes) can include up to five seniors
- Extended sessions (90 minutes) can include a group of up to ten friends. Keep in mind that the more people you add to the session, the less time we’ll have for different locations, but this is a great way to share costs and get a few great individual photos of each person, plus a mix of professional group photos.
