They don’t come much sweeter than this.
Linen Albums
I truly believe that every couple should have a beautiful, archival wedding album to look back at the story from their wedding day. There’s something about sharing a physical piece—turning the sturdy pages and remembering the moments together—that just feels so right.
I’ve used the same album company for years, but I’ve always loved the look and feel of linen wrapped albums, so this year, I finally made the switch to a new company, and I’m loving the results. This is a 10×10 inch album with a 6×6 inch parent album. I especially love the option for the smaller parent album—they’re gorgeous!

Family Photos on MSU’s North Campus
Michigan State’s north campus never fails me. It’s a natural place for Spartan fans to capture family photos that show their love for MSU in a simple, subtle way. It also made for the perfect backdrop to celebrate this little fellow’s first birthday last fall.
Pam + Matt: Frederik Meijer Gardens Wedding in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Pam and Matt flew in from Boston to get married at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids last summer. This was my second time at the gardens—this place is such a gorgeous setting for a summer wedding. The light was perfect, the gardens were quiet and the couple and their guests were full of smiles. At the end of the ceremony as we were packing up, a heron flew out onto a rock by the waterfall. Perfection.
This wedding can best be summed up with the lyrics from the song that was playing as I packed up my bags at the end of the evening—”Everything is awesome.”
I always love it when brides take the time to do a “first look” with their fathers. It’s such a touching moment for a dad to see his daughter as a bride for the first time.
Thanks to Chris for grabbing another perspective on the first look.
