I knew I liked Christine and Sean from the moment I met them. They’re a genuine, fun-loving couple, and their natural chemistry made this session easy for me. This engagement session was well worth the drive to Holland (not to mention the treck over the dunes with my gear – thanks to Sean for helping out on that one). Chrstine and Sean – I can’t wait to see you again for your wedding this fall.

Fenner Nature Center is quickly becoming one of my favorite fall photo spots. I’d happily photograph every single engagement session there between October 1 and October 31—it’s just gorgeous. I love it when couples introduce me to new locations in town—especially locations that I absolutely know I’ll be heading back to again and again. Hanna, Maroo and I met up at the Horticultural Demonstration Gardens next to the Children’s Garden (a place I know and love), and then we headed over to Michigan State’s farms. It was an evening filled with laughter and fun.

I’ve known Kelly for more than ten years (I can’t believe it’s been that long!). We met when we were both seniors in high school trying out for the Michigan State cheerleading team.

I had a blast getting back to Chicago to visit Kelly and Brian, hearing their engagement story (set in Paris) and getting back to one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago (Quartino).

And that Chicago sunset—just wait until you see it. I’m so glad that the rain held off and gave us one of the most beautiful views of the city that I’ve ever seen.
