RSI Logistics, based out of Okemos, Michigan, recently moved into a new office space and wanted to create a set of custom company “stock images” to pull from for their website and other marketing visuals. They brought me in to take commercial headshots and photograph team members on-site in their space.

Nurse Injector Studio Branding Headshots
Sarah already had a solid Instagram presence and general online presence as a nurse injector before she came to me for new branding photos, but she wanted a new set of personalized stock photos to draw from as she markets her business online.
After she filled out my Story Session Questionnaire, we designed the session to be bright and cheerful—and to pull in color elements from her own thoughtful space.
We used this mood board and her questionnaire as a jumping off point to choose props, colors, outfits, and general style. There’s a rack in the studio to bring in a slew of outfits, which makes it easy to quickly choose combinations as we move through looks.
Many thanks to Katelyn Bontrager for doing Sarah’s hair (Katelyn works out of Annie Kathryn’s Hair + Bridal Salon across the hall from the studio, which is such a nice convenience).

Nutritionist Branding Photography in The Lansing Studio
Summer came to me looking for branding photos for her business, Heal With Summer, a Virtual Wellness Clinic. The photos are for her website, social media, business cards, and any future printed marketing materials. When she filled out her Story Session Questionnaire, she told me that some of the words she wanted to associate with her business are:
- Friendly
- Approachable
- Healthy
- Holistic
- Fun
- Happy
Summer’s target audience is women ages 20 – 45 who are looking for answers to their frustrating health symptoms. They’re looking for someone young, intelligent, understanding, compassionate and open-minded to guide them back to better health through nutrition and functional lab testing.
Summer also told me that her brand fits with the following brand archetypes:
- The Jester (fun loving, playful, optimistic)
- The Everyman (friendly, humble, authentic)
- The Caregiver (caring, warm, reassuring)
So we set out to design a photo session from there, starting with a mood board based on her brand colors and a few inspiration photos from my past sessions:
Once we had the mood board, we put together a list of props and outfits:
- Outfits in brand colors and light/bright to portray the brand vibe (e.g. white tops)
- Food/fruit to show in the kitchen
- Laptop
- Plants (already at the studio)
- A favorite coffee mug (Summer mentioned that coffee is something she has in common with her target audience)
- Summer dog, Zu (along with a helper to bring Zu along and take him home after he was done)
This was a quick session—we got a ton of great new branding images in less than an hour for Summer to elevate her brand to the next level

The Lansing Studio Branding + Headshot Photography with Nurses
Centered Care offers in-home healthcare, which is close to my heart since my brother spent most of his life with some level of in-home care after being diagnosed with metachromatic leukodystrophy at age six. So naturally, I was excited to get to spend a full afternoon with a group of amazing (and hilarious) nurses to celebrate the new purchase of the company and help them to build out some branding photographs and head shots for the team to use on their website and in marketing materials.
After they filled out my Story Session questionnaire, we decided to spend a few hours in the studio before heading on site to capture staff at work, along with the beloved patients who gave permission for their images to be shared.
