Haylie graduated from MSU last month with a degree in building construction management. My sister actually graduated with the same degree (one of maybe four women in her class) and met my brother-in-law in the program, which basically means that we are related to our own version Chip and Joanna, hence our super fun home renovations on our own fixer upper.
Haylie moved back home to the Chicago area to start a job right after graduation, but she wanted to capture her experiences on campus before heading out, so we took a walk around a few areas that were meaningful to her. I think this is the first time that I’ve been asked to take a portrait with heavy equipment in the background, but I love it 🙂

Now onto Dana and Dan. If you do a session with me, a few things are pretty much guaranteed. I’m going to get you in motion so that you’ll feel and look more natural, and I’m going to try to give you prompts that will make you laugh (usually by having you say things to each other). If you can get sentimental at some point, we have the perfect trifecta. Dana and Dan proved that they were up for anything, and I love that they showed different sides of their personalities and relationship. They’re getting married in June at the Frankenmuth Brewery, and I know it’s going to be amazing.
